porchlight-playersThis is the Original Broadway Version (2005).

Six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn’t everything.

Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box. A riotous ride, complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius. Join Vail Club 50 for a fun night filled with laughter and good food.

We will visit four galleries located a short distance from the skating rink at the Beaver Creek Village. Each gallery will have two different wines to try, starting with whites, then light reds, followed by full-bodied reds, and ending with dessert wine and coffee. Tiny nibbles will be paired with the wine.

At each gallery, we will spend approximately 30 minutes. During this time the gallery owner / representative will lead a brief discussion on the artists / artwork in their gallery.
