Signup and payment process

Signup for all events is done online, by clicking the blue button below.  You can signup 1 or 2 people, for multiple events, all in one step.  You can also pay by credit card or PayPal at the same time.

Or, if you want to pay by check, you must still click the blue button below to signup. Then mail one check covering the total cost of your choices. Make your check out to Vail Club 50 and mail to Vail Club 50, PO Box 2789, Avon CO 81620.

An event may fill up before its payment deadline; please pay online or mail your check early to ensure your reservation.  The date of your online payment, or your check postmark date, determines your priority for an event that sells out.

Payment for an event must be received by its published deadline. Last minute registrations will only be allowed if space and food are available.  You will not be able to sign up online for an event after its published deadline; contact the event organizer to find out if it is possible to secure a last minute registration and pay via check.

Hike and Sunset Dinner

Description:
Join your friends on the top of Vail Mountain for an early evening hike from Eagle’s Nest Ridge to the Wildwood Shelter then back to Eagle’s Nest for dinner. 
Park in the free Lionshead structure then take the Eagle Bahn Gondola to the top of Eagle’s Nest where we’ll meet between 5 – 6pm at Vitner’s Resturant at Market Place for appetizers and beverages before we begin the hike.

All levels welcome. There will be two groups of hikers – 1) Tortoises and the other 2) Marmot and Hares. Please wear sturdy hiking footwear and be prepared for variable weather and temperature changes. If you just want to join us for dinner that is great as well – no need to hike. You are welcome to come at 5pm for appetizers and/or dinner at 7:30pm. The price includes private dining at Vitner’s at Market Place on the top floor of Eagle’s Nest. An assortment of appetizers and cash bar from 5pm – 6pm then dinner at 7:30pm followed by a dessert tray with tea or coffee.

Dinner options will be provided at a later date once the Summer Menu is ready from Vail Mountain Dining.

After dinner, enjoy the gondola ride to the bottom while viewing Vail Mountain under the moonlight! No hiking other than in the two groups! No hiking down!


Buena Vista Trip

We are heading to Buena Vista, CO for 4 days and 3 nights of outdoor fun.

– Hike in the national forest
– Fish in the Arkansas River
– Participate in a group BBQ 
– Visit Princeton Hot Springs
– Climb a 14’er (Mt. Harvard)
– White water raft the Arkansas River

– Road bike to Cotton Pass (moderately difficult)
– Visit the local Distillery (short walk back to the cabins)
– Mountain bike ride on a scenic rails-to-trails bike path (3% max grade)

There is a central picnic area with BBQ and benches, perfect for a social hour.  Plan on a daily social hour before dinner. 
At least one evening, we will have a group BBQ

Line dancing progressing to 2 and 3 step instruction; Dinner break then more instruction; from 9 – 10pm instruction will be over but dancing music will be provided.

A fun evening is guaranteed with instruction under the tutelage of our very own Vail Club 50 members, Linda and Dean Wolz, who are highly sought after instructors. Whether you are accomplished at line dancing or have never ventured onto the dance floor with all those who seem to know what they are doing, you don’t want to miss this evening! Several different line dances will be taught throughout the evening so the more proficient dancers can practice and brush up while the novices will get started. Do you need a partner? Absolutely not! After starting off with some easy line dances and progressing to harder ones, we will break for dinner which will be buffet style from a local caterer. Bring a beverage of your choice (beer, wine, soda, etc.); Vail Club 50 will provide lots of water to keep everyone hydrated. After dinner, the Wolz’s will teach the Barnyard Mixer. If you are a bit shy, then the Barnyard Mixer may be the dance for you since we change partners.

Let’s celebrate halfway through the glorious Vail Valley biking season with a Bikes, Brats, and Beer barbeque outdoors on the deck at the Eagle Vail Pavilion. Brats, hot dogs, and all the fixings will be provided as well as water, beer, and wine.

BYOB other beverages, if desired.

There will be three rides: short, medium and long. Details of each ride and the leader to contact for information will be published prior to the event. All rides will end at the Eagle Vail Pavilion at 12:30pm. A sag wagon will be on call from the Pavilion; no other rider support will be provided.

Choose your event and get your clubs and paddles ready for a fun afternoon of 9-hole golf at Gypsum Creek Golf Club or a round-robin level-based pickleball tournament at Gypsum’s eight, brand new outdoor pickleball courts. These fun activities will be followed by a cocktail hour with
snacks and a buffet dinner and awards ceremony at the Gypsum Creekside Grill. All events are at a single location! The buffet banquet will feature House Salad, Sautéed Vegetables, Scalloped Potatoes, Beef Carving Station, Chicken in White Wine Sauce and bite-size desserts. Dinner includes 1 drink ticket. A cash bar is also available. Members may attend dinner regardless of whether they participated in golf or pickleball.
