Opening day: Wednesday, January 4, 2012
The 2012 snowshoe season begins on January 4 and ends March 28. There will be a snowshoe event every Wednesday (13 dates). Given the rising popularity of the snowshoes we’re also considering having some additional events on Saturdays. The venues and leaders will be sorted out at the organizational meeting in late September. In early December we’ll send out the calendar of events to those who expressed an interest in snowshoeing.
In past years we’ve had a hut trip, a moonlight snowshoe, picnics, and trips to various on-mountain restaurants. After many of the shoes we’ve also gathered at neighborhood eateries for a nice social lunch. We hope to arrange the same this coming season.
The leaders will announce their events at least two weeks in advance. Please do not contact the leader about a snowshoe until the event is announced. If a check for an event is required, please mail early to ensure your reservation (some of these events fill up fast!).
