Hike - Beaver Lake via Royal Elk Trail
RT Mileage: About 5.5 miles

Blue hike; Pace: 1.5 miles per hour 

Date: July 21
Meeting Time: 9:30: am

Hike Start Time: As soon as possible after the meeting time
Approx End Time: 1:30 pm

Rendezvous:  

At the bottom of the Centennial Express/Gondola in Beaver Creek


Directions to meeting location: 
Free underground parking at Ford Hall. The entrance is just above the main bus stop on the left- hand side of the road.


Hike Description: 

We will take the Centennial Express Lift from Beaver Creek Village to Spruce Saddle. From Spruce Saddle, we will continue to Beaver Lake via the Royal Elk trail, which crosses all of the Grouse Mountain ski runs, including the backcountry runs Black Bear Glade and Royal Elk Glade. We will lunch at Beaver Lake and then return to the Village via Beaver Lake trail.

 
Special Instructions:
Must have a lift ticket because we will be taking the Centennial Express Lift.
Bring lunch.

Please be on time to the meeting place.

Please let the leader know ASAP if your plans to attend change.


Come prepared with proper hiking gear, food and water, poles if you use them.
