Adopt-a-Trail - Stag Gulch Trail - 9am-Noon

We clear brush to improve the tread, dig water bars to provide good drainage, and even work on brand new sections of trail to replace of steep sections. Learn about Loppers, Pulaski’s, MacLeod’s, Pick Mattocks, slash, the tread, water flow across trails, etc, etc!  You will have a great time!  We guarantee it!  We will work from 9 to 12AM on each of these days and continue our tradition of a delicious lunch and cold drinks following our labors! (What’s not to like?!)

To participate you will need to also to register on VVMTA.org (Vail Valley Mountain Trails Alliance).  This ensures you are counted and covered by the USFS.  Further instructions to be provided once you register for the event.

Stag Gulch Trail is accessed from the Squaw Creek Trailhead, which is approximately 4.1 miles south from Route 6  on Squaw Creek Road in Edwards.  The turnoff for Squaw Creek Road from Route 6 is approximately 2.7 miles west of the main Edwards roundabout and marked by a large sign for the Cordillera community.
