Summer 2018 started with a great kickoff event at the Chop House in Beaver Creek. The activities calendar is full with multiple opportunities in multiple sports. So many choices -- hike, bike, golf, tennis, pickle ball, hike and bike trail maintenance
and then fill in your open hours with a social event.
Volunteer leaders once again stepped up making all these events possible.
Membership continues to grow.
Welcome New Members.
Despite the lower than average snowfall, VC50 members were not deterred during the 2017/18 season.. The moment a ski trail opened, we were on it. Early in the season some snowshoe and backcountry events were relocated to areas with greater snow depth; a good time was had by all. All the snow-dancing did seem to help!
Many thanks to every winter social and sports leader. You did a GREAT JOB.
The launch of the new website occurred in October 2017. Feedback continues to be overwhelmingly positive.
Thanks goes out to everyone who was/is involved in the new website -- it does take a village.
Hats off to all the people over the years who came before us. There are so many who brought us to where we are now. The early folks managed the club with hardcopy mailed newsletters, phone calls to register for an event, paper/pencil lists, checks sent to event chairs, and hand written event and finance reports. Yikes, it was a full-time job!
The next group took the club to another level of sophistication -- our first website and digital newsletter, then an online registration system,
a refined website with beautiful graphics to include a new logo, then online payment.
THANK YOU to all. You made a difference that allowed us to be where we are today.
The essence of VC50 has remained consistent over the years -- it is the cadre of volunteers who step up and make all of our social and sport activities a reality – every season, every year. Again many thanks to each and everyone of you who stepped up and keep stepping up to made it happen..
